The RentSmart product was initially launched in Australia where it is now available in more than 1,000 retail outlets including Dick Smith Electronics and Powerhouse, JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks and Harris Technology. In New Zealand it is currently offered through JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith Electronics and Hill & Stewart.
The success of the RentSmart product in Australia saw ThinkSmart establish in the UK in 2003 launching the product (branded as SmartPlan) in PC World, the computer retailing arm of Europe’s largest electrical retailer, DSG International. A rapid uptake in the UK saw the product subsequently launched with DSG in Spain in 2005 and France in 2006.
